About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from viticultural areas in Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, including Ruffino-owned Pinot Grigio vineyards at the Poderi Ducali estates. The vineyards lie at 150–250 m above sea level. Clay- and limestone-rich soils mixed with sand and gravel contribute elegance and structure. Fruit is carefully selected from elevated vineyard sites rising above the surrounding plains.
Grapes
90% Pinot Grigio, 5% Chardonnay, and 5% Sauvignon Blanc.
Ageing
The wine is matured in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.
Tasting profile
Bright straw yellow. Intense white-peach aromas are followed by wildflowers and a lightly minty finish. The palate is bold and well structured, with mineral notes and a vibrant, long, satisfying finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10°C. Pair with seafood, shellfish, white meats, Asian dishes, or mild cheeses.
Label / history
The lunar quarters depicted on the label derive from the ancient alchemical symbol for the Moon and emphasize the importance of lunar phases in the life of the vine.
