About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Production is confined to the 15 municipalities of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills. Conegliano is the area’s cultural centre, while Valdobbiadene is its production hub. The vineyards lie at 200–350 m on deep soils composed of conglomerates of rock and sand, with abundant clay and iron.

Grapes

85% Glera; the remaining 15% comprises Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and other complementary varieties.

Vinification

Carefully selected grapes are pressed to obtain the must. One portion undergoes alcoholic fermentation to become base wine, while the remainder is held in the cellar at 0 °C, preserving material for the cuvée beyond harvest. Must and wine are blended and refermented with selected yeasts in pressurized tanks according to the Charmat method. The process lasts about one month, retaining fruit aromas and creating a refined perlage.

Technical data

Alcohol: 11%. Bottle format: 750 ml.

Tasting profile

Straw yellow, with a small, fine and persistent perlage. The aromas are harmoniously fruity and floral. The palate is aromatic and inviting, with a light almond finish and good persistence.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 7–9 °C. Suitable as an aperitif and with fish, seafood or savoury pies.
