About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes exclusively from the old Grave di Stecca vineyard, situated on south-facing slopes of the Alps. A large park shelters part of the vineyard along its southern side, helping to create a distinctive microclimate.
Vinification
The grapes are pressed at low temperature. Under the Charmat method, the first fermentation takes place in open steel tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by a second fermentation in an autoclave.
Tasting profile
Silky and fruity.
Vintage notes
In 2015, Veneto experienced a very warm winter and spring, with temperatures above average, followed by a very dry summer. Water scarcity placed the vines under considerable stress and increased polyphenol and sugar levels. Harvest began approximately ten days early. The vines that coped successfully produced grapes of excellent ripeness, while yields were about 10% lower.
Label / history
First released with the 2008 vintage and produced in limited quantities. It was the first Prosecco to receive Gambero Rosso’s highest award, the “three glasses.”
