About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Malvasia Nera grows in Salento on clay-rich, calcareous soil. The vines are trained in the traditional "alberello pugliese" (Puglian bush vine) system, which gives particularly good results with local grape varieties.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand during the middle ten days of September. Maceration and fermentation take place at a controlled temperature.

Ageing

The wine is aged in oak barrels for 6–8 months.

Tasting profile

A refined red with an elegant style.
