Vineyard and terroir
Cantine San Marco is located in the San Marco region, on the small hill from which it takes its name. The volcanic soils are rich in potassium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, and low in nitrogen.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in neutral vessels at a controlled temperature to retain the fruit’s fresh character and natural aromas. The wine is vinified and bottled at the winery.
Ageing
The wine is aged in neutral vessels.
Tasting profile
Fresh fruit character is accompanied by the grapes’ natural aromas.
Label / history
The wine won a bronze medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in 2005 and received a Recommendation Wine Certificate at the same competition in 2006.
