About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
A Piemonte D.O.C. Rosso made from selected bunches grown in San Silvestro’s oldest vineyards in Piedmont. The wine began with fruit from only 50 rows; over successive harvests, those vines became stronger and more productive. Selection now focuses on the finest bunches from the oldest vines.
Tasting profile
A substantial, richly structured wine with pronounced red-fruit notes. The palate is enveloping and persistent.
Serving and pairing
Pair with grilled chicken accompanied by grilled zucchini and eggplant, Parma-style risotto or tortellini alla Bolognese. Cellaring potential is 5 years.
Label / history
Vigne Vecchie celebrates the strength developed by old vines and the enduring relationship between people and the vineyard. It is conceived as a taste of tradition and a tribute to the work invested in those vines over successive harvests.
