About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Malvasia is organically grown on 8.5 ha of hillside vineyards in the province of Vicenza, Veneto. The vineyards form part of an old estate formerly owned by the aristocratic Giovannelli family. The soils are predominantly clay and limestone, with a high mineral content.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified as whole bunches with minimal intervention. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks using native yeasts.
Ageing
The wine rests for several months before being lightly filtered and bottled with no more than 50 mg/L of added sulfur.
