About this wine
Vinification
Fully ripe bunches are harvested, destemmed and pressed. The must undergoes low-temperature maceration, delaying fermentation while developing the colour and aromas associated with the ILRamato style. Fermentation follows the maceration.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees for 8 months, with bâtonnage performed weekly.
Label / history
ILRamato revives an earlier interpretation of Pinot Grigio associated with Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The name refers to the distinctive colour and aromas developed during maceration. The producer presents it as a style distinct from both orange wine and rosé.
