Compounds from the Pinot Grigio skins and seeds—including anthocyanins, tannins and aromatic compounds—contribute varietal character, structure and texture.
Ageing
The wine ages in 2,000-litre oak barrels, spending six months on the lees and a further 22 months after removal from the lees.

Structured and textured, with silky elegance developed during ageing.

Scarbolo launched the “XL” project in the early 2000s as a tribute to the genetic heritage of Pinot Grigio and the winemaking traditions of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
