About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Produced by Cantine Settesoli in Menfi, in the southwest of Sicily, an area well suited to native grape varieties. The island's varied landscapes and soils provide a distinctive setting for grape growing. Local conditions allow Nero d'Avola to be grown with a gentle approach, preserving its natural balance and pure varietal character without too much intervention.
Vinification
The grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks to highlight freshness and natural fruit. No oak is used.
Tasting profile
Light, open and easy-going in style. With no oak influence, the profile is direct and clear, putting the grape and its origin first. Straightforward and approachable, it reflects Settesoli's modern take on Sicilian style.
Label / history
"Rondone" means "swallow" in Italian, a nod to the wine's light, open style and easy-going character.
