History

Silvano Follador began producing sparkling wines in the early 2000s. Two brothers, Silvano and Alberto, inherited several hectares of vineyards and decided to carry on their grandparents' business.

A few years later, despite their success, the brothers completely changed their approach to winemaking, because they felt the need to restore honesty and dignity to their wines. They put personal satisfaction and the improvement of the local area ahead of market demands, and adopted organic and biodynamic farming principles.

The winery makes sparkling wines. In the cellar, clarification enzymes are avoided and only natural local yeasts are used for the initial spontaneous fermentation. Tirage liqueur has almost entirely been abandoned, so virtually all the sparkling wines are Brut Nature. The brothers work without outside winemaking consultants.

Philosophy

The brothers say they changed course out of a need to restore honesty and dignity to their wines. They put personal satisfaction and the improvement of the local area ahead of market demands.
