About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the Nardi estate’s oldest vines, which are at least 40 years old and grow on an east-facing slope.

Vinification

The grapes are selected and harvested entirely by hand in the second half of October.

Label / history

Produced only in selected vintages, Vigneto Manachiara is limited to no more than 10,000 bottles. Its first vintage was 1995.

Silvio Nardi acquired the Casale del Bosco estate in Montalcino, a hilly area at 564 metres above sea level, in the mid-20th century. The estate released its first bottle eight years later. Emilia Nardi succeeded her father in 1990 and subsequently restructured the vineyards and cellars and organised scientific research.
