About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Le Bocce estate lies in Alto Chianti, in the province of Siena. Its vineyards are in Panzano, 5 km from Greve. The estate covers 70 hectares, of which 20 hectares are planted with vines and olive trees. The vineyard faces southwest and receives abundant natural sunlight throughout the day.

Vinification

All stages of production, including bottling, take place at the estate winery. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are conducted at controlled temperatures using innovative methods.

Ageing

The wine rests for six months in concrete vats, followed by 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks and three months in bottle.

Label / history

The historic Chiantigliana villa, formerly part of a monastery, has been restored and converted into a modern winery.
