About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Catarratto and Chardonnay grow in vineyards with deep alluvial soils, at 550 m above sea level and facing south-east.
Vinification
The must is vinified in stainless-steel tanks for 20 days, at 12–14 °C for Catarratto and 14–16 °C for Chardonnay.
Ageing
The wine is then aged for several months in barriques.
Label / history
Eycos is one of four ancient Greek words used in the producer's premium range, alongside Timè, Sofè and Zoe. The words mean respect, pride, wisdom and family. Eycos is the word for pride.
