About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow near the town of Montepulciano in sandy, well-aerated soils. The climate is warm, helping the fruit to ripen fully.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and selected to retain only healthy, ripe fruit. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks.

Ageing

Twelve per cent of the wine ages for three months in large French oak barrels. The wine then rests in bottle for a further three months before release.
