About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards lie near Montepulciano in Tuscany, on tuff soils containing shell fragments. Yields are 70 hl/ha.

Vinification

Healthy grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and carefully selected. Alcoholic fermentation takes place under constant temperature control, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine spends its first six months in small French oak barrels, followed by one year in 50 hl Slavonian oak casks. Before release, it rests for at least a further six months in the estate’s cellars.

Tasting profile

The wine has a mature, sensual character.
