About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit is organic Sangiovese from Castelnuovo Berardenga, grown at 380–440 m above sea level on clay-limestone soils.

Vinification

Harvest takes place in the middle ten days of September. Fermentation is at controlled temperature, followed by 10 days of maceration in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in large, used French oak barrels.

Ageing

The wine ages for 10 months in large oak barrels and 6–8 months in second-use barriques, then 3–5 months in bottle.

Tasting profile

Expressive, with lively acidity and a fragrant aroma.
