About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the "Lapina" plot, where the soil, location and elevation provide favourable conditions for Sangiovese.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in early October. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration take place in temperature-controlled concrete vessels. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in large, old French oak barrels.
Ageing
The wine matures for 30 months in barriques, followed by three months in concrete vats and a further six to eight months in bottle.
Tasting profile
The wine has a firm tannic structure.
