About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from Tuscan hill vineyards, where the soil and the warm southern winds shape the wine's powerful structure.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration take place in 5000-litre solid-wood vats at a controlled 26–28 °C, for at least 22–25 days.

Ageing

After fermentation the wine ages for 24 months in French oak barriques, which build structure and depth of flavour and soften the tannins. After bottling it matures for at least a further 12 months.

Tasting profile

Refined and elegant, with a powerful structure. The nose offers fruit, mint and tobacco, with a gentle warmth. The palate is complex and layered, with blackberry and currant alongside spicy herbal notes.

Serving and pairing

Pairs particularly well with game and meat dishes.
