About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Terre di Avanella comes from vineyards in Rufina, Tuscany, with a southern exposure. The clayey, stony soil is rich in coarse mineral material. The vines are spur-cordon trained, and yield is stated at 45 hl/ha.
Grapes
100% Sangiovese.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested manually from early to mid-October. Following careful selection, only the best fruit is gently pressed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks under temperature control.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in oak tonneaux, followed by at least three months in bottle.
