Grapes

Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero and Colorino.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested manually between mid-September and mid-October. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks under temperature control.

Ageing

The wine matures for six months in oak barrels before a further period in bottle.

Technical data

Chianti Rufina DOCG. Rufina, Tuscany.

Tasting profile

A characterful and comparatively austere expression, combining fruit with broad acidity and balanced tannins. Its strength and robust elegance are accompanied by freshness that can persist for years, supported by Rufina’s cool evenings.
