About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the 2-hectare Prile vineyard, situated at 40–60 metres above sea level and facing south-southeast. The vines were planted between 2001 and 2004 at a density of 9,600 vines per hectare and are Guyot trained. The soil comprises 80% sand, 15% clay and 5% silt, together with pebbles.

Grapes

100% Vermentino.

Vinification

The 2024 fruit was harvested on 29 August and again from 6 to 10 September. Vinification took place in used French-oak barriques and tonneaux.

Ageing

The wine remained in the same French-oak vessels with its full lees until May 2025. It was then settled and bottled.

Technical data

Alcohol: 13%. Acidity: 5.39, with no unit specified. pH: 3.34. The wine is certified organic and is packed in six-bottle cases of 750 ml bottles.

Tasting profile

Bright, intense straw yellow. Aromas characteristic of Vermentino evoke aromatic herbs, field flowers and sweet spices. The palate is full and harmonious, with floral and herbal notes returning alongside almond nuances on the finish. Long and notably savoury.

Vintage notes

The 2024 growing season was marked by pronounced weather fluctuations. A warm, rainy winter prompted early budbreak, followed by a cool and wet spring. Summer brought very high temperatures and severe drought. Rain returned only at the end of August, and September was temperate with several further rainfall events.
