Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the vineyards surrounding Novacella Abbey, near Bressanone, on the southern side of the Alps. The sites lie at approximately 600–899 metres above sea level and have mineral-rich soils and a cool climate. Ripening continues well into autumn.
Grapes
Selected white Muscat grapes form the main component, with small amounts of Kerner and Müller-Thurgau.
Vinification
The wine is made using traditional methods.
Ageing
It is aged in the monastery cellars.
Tasting profile
Refreshing and summery, with intense aromas and flavours and an appetising fruity acidity.
