Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the westernmost hills of San Rocco Seno d’Elvio, in Alba. The vineyards face east and were planted between 1968 and 2012. Their marly soils are predominantly limestone, with veins of sand.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Ageing
The wine matures for about eight months in oak casks, followed by approximately four months of bottle ageing.
Label / history
This Nebbiolo d’Alba originates in the area described as the “Terra di mezzo”—the land between the zones where Nebbiolo can carry the Barbaresco or Barolo designation. The first vintage was made in 2007 from grapes grown on the western side of San Rocco Seno d’Elvio.
