Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from the small Cottà vineyard, a geographic mention in the municipality of Neive. The family acquired the site in the 1970s. Its south-west-facing vines were planted between 1962 and 1996.
The soil is marly and predominantly limestone, with small amounts of clay and sand. Its Tortonian character gives the wine complexity and longevity.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Ageing
The wine matures for approximately 20 months in oak casks, followed by a few months of refinement in bottle.
Label / history
Cottà was vinified separately for the first time in 2015, presenting another expression of the historic Barbaresco area.
