Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Fruit comes from Magrè, Niclara, Curon, Missiano, Bressanone, San Pietro Mezzomonte and Merano, spanning 230–830 metres above sea level. The Magrè, Niclara, Curon and Missiano sites have calcareous soils, while the vineyards in Bressanone, San Pietro Mezzomonte and Merano contain volcanic rock. The wine’s style is shaped by the interaction between limestone and weathered volcanic material, with an emphasis on salinity rather than overt aroma.
Grapes
Sauvignon Blanc.
Vinification
The cuvée brings together several separately handled components: fruit fermented on the mash, fruit given a shorter maceration in the press, and directly pressed fruit.
Ageing
The components spend approximately six months on their gross lees in stainless steel, large wooden vessels and small wooden vessels.
