Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The wine takes its name from the Fünfzehner vineyard—German for “number fifteen,” represented by the Roman numeral XV—south of Magrè. Fruit also comes from other vineyards in Magrè, at 210–280 metres above sea level. Deposits from the Rio Favogna and the Adige River have formed sandy, loamy soils containing limestone. Merlot has predominated at Fünfzehner since 1957, and the old vines are being preserved. Warm Ora winds arriving from Lake Garda ventilate the site and interact with its cooler loamy ground.

Vinification
Spontaneous maceration is followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
Maturation takes place in barriques.
