At an official Tommasi dinner, it accompanied snapper tartare with peach coulis, raspberry dressing and paprika crostini.
Label / history
Ammura was established after the Tommasi family arrived in Sicily in 2022. The name has Arabic roots and means “beautiful, beloved, enchanting,” symbolically connecting Sicily and Veneto. The brand interprets Etna as the feminine figure known in Sicily as “A’ Muntagna” and draws on the archetype of the Enchantress. Prickly pear and dandelion motifs, tactile textures, spare silhouettes and deep colours on the label evoke lava, dark earth and a landscape shaped by fire and wind. Etna Bianco DOC was one of Ammura’s first two releases.
