Vineyard and terroir
Guardiola comes from Contrada Guardiola, where generations of largely undisturbed cultivation have preserved old Nerello Mascalese vines. The wine is made in very small quantities from vines more than 150 years old. Altitude and local terroir slow the ripening of the grapes.

Tasting profile
Slow ripening develops distinctive aromas and a dense tannic weave. Its concentration and structure are presented as particularly suited to evolution over time.

Serve at 14–16°C.

The 2021 vintage received published recognition from Doctor Wine, Vinous, James Suckling, Kerin O’Keefe, Falstaff, I Vini di Veronelli, Luca Maroni and Vinibuoni d’Italia.
Label / history
Guardiola is connected to Alta Mora’s origins: the project began with the restoration of the traditional dry-stone walls on Guardiola’s terraces. The wine is certified under the SOStain and VIVA sustainability programmes.
