Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow on calcareous soils formed from marly limestone sediments.
Vinification
The wine undergoes maceration for approximately 10–12 days at a controlled temperature of 28–30°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete tanks over 10–15 days.
Ageing
Development continues in bottle for six months.

Monica di Sardegna DOC Superiore. Available in 750 ml, 1.5 L, 3 L and 5 L formats.
Tasting profile
Ruby red. The intense, developing nose centres on marasca cherry and plum, with accompanying vanilla and cinnamon. The palate is harmonious and velvety, combining notably sweet tannins with balanced red-fruit and spice flavours. The finish is very long and satisfying.
Serving and pairing
Pair with traditional pasta served with sauce, richly flavoured fish soups, grilled tuna steaks, stewed lamb, medium-aged pecorino or grilled red meat.
