Selected Sangiovese grapes come from the estate’s best vines at Castelnuovo dell’Abate. Their southern exposure, steep slope and soil rich in skeletal material promote a high concentration of polyphenols, expressed through deeper colour and a firmer, more complex tannic structure.

Tasting profile
Deep ruby red with garnet highlights that become more pronounced with age. Blackcurrant and balsamic Mediterranean-scrub aromas lead to further nuances, followed on the palate by cinnamon and vanilla. The tannins are firm and complex.
