Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from Pora, one of the oldest and largest crus in the commune of Barbaresco in Piedmont. The vines were planted in 1980.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested from late September to early October. Fermentation on the skins lasts 7–15 days in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 36 months in oak barrels that have previously been used twice, followed by 10 months in bottle before release.
Tasting profile
The wine has a rounded, velvety texture. The 2011 vintage shows a rich character.

The wine was first produced in 2004.
