Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards lie at 420 metres above sea level on hills with limestone, stones and clay soils. They are farmed organically and biodynamically.

Vinification

After harvest the grapes are taken quickly to the winery, where they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks.

Ageing

After fermentation the wine matures in casks on the fine lees, followed by 3 months in bottle.

Tasting profile

Elegant, well structured and beautifully balanced, with lovely freshness and juicy fruit. It is a serious Chianti that is neither bland nor harsh, and is easy to enjoy.

Label / history

This was the first wine produced by Casa Emma. It is a biodynamic wine.
