Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on alluvial soils near the winery in Belvedere, north of Treviso. The vineyard has a thin layer of soil over pebble-rich ground deposited by the Piave River, which once flowed through the area.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into special crates at the end of September. A brief cold maceration precedes primary fermentation under strict temperature control with the winery’s own yeasts. Secondary fermentation takes place in pressurised autoclaves.
Tasting profile
Fine bubbles accompany a lively, light and refined palate with notable freshness and fruity aromas. The bouquet is floral.
Label / history
The name Campo dei Sass means “Field of Stones”. Pebbles appear on the redesigned label in reference to the vineyard’s pebble-rich ground. The wine also has new packaging.
