Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards of the family-owned Tenuta Talamonti estate lie at 300 metres above sea level in Loreto Aprutino, Abruzzo. They have distinctive soils and microclimate.
Vinification
The grapes are usually harvested by hand at the end of September and destemmed at the winery. Fermentation on the skins takes place for 10 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, with daily cap punching.
Ageing
The wine ages for three months in 34-hectolitre French oak barrels, followed by a short period in bottle before release.

Label / history
The wine belongs to the “Diversitas” range, which celebrates Abruzzo’s biodiversity. “Lupo” means wolf in Italian, referring to the Apennine wolf found in the region’s nature parks. The wine is certified vegan by Just Vegan.
