Castellani

Castellani is a family-owned Italian winery founded in 1903. Since then, the business has gone through many innovations and major stages of development, growing to encompass more than 250 hectares of vineyards in the areas of Chianti Classico, Tuscany and the Pisan Hills. According to research published by major international publications including the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal, Castellani is among the 500 leading Italian companies.

The winery's vineyards, covering more than 250 hectares, are located in the areas of Chianti Classico, Tuscany and the Pisan Hills. There is a winery in each region, allowing grapes to be processed as quickly as possible without transportation, which helps keep the berries intact.

For many years, Castellani has not used chemical fertilisers, pesticides or other substances harmful to people or nature, helping to keep its vineyards environmentally clean.

Castellani has a well-developed in-house infrastructure, including its own laboratory fitted with the latest equipment, which also oversees the work of another 360 oenological laboratories. The production facilities have three modern, top-level bottling lines designed to make the most efficient use of working time. The wine bottles are sealed with corks that undergo ongoing technical analysis. At regular intervals, the company selects a quantity of its products at its own discretion and carries out destructive testing to identify and eliminate possible defects. The range includes classic Tuscan wines made from Sangiovese and other grape varieties.
