Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on the rolling hills of Tuscany. Fassini is a small estate in the hilly wine-growing area of Montalcino, surrounded by old cypress trees.
Grapes
A blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. The text gives no proportions.
Vinification
The ripe grapes are harvested by hand and vinified with traditional methods. They are macerated on the skins at a controlled temperature of 20–23 °C. After pressing, the must undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine is aged in oak barriques, then filtered and bottled.
Label / history
Fassini combines traditional winemaking methods with modern advances. It is now part of the Castellani Group.
