Label / history
Castello di Cacchiano has belonged to the Ricasoli-Firidolfi family since the 11th century. Baron Bettino Ricasoli set standards for Chianti Classico production approximately 150 years before the source was written. The estate’s first official bottling was released in 1974 under Baroness Elisabetta Balbi Valier. The estate is now run by Baron Giovanni Ricasoli-Firidolfi, who produces one bottling from each Chianti vintage.
