For more than 800 years the estate has flourished in Tuscany, with extensive fields, vineyards, and olive groves, and farming has always played an important role on the grand estate.\n\n### 1967 – Founding member of the Consorzio\nWhen the Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino was established in 1967, Castiglion del Bosco was one of its few founding members.\n\n### 2003–2004 – Restoration under Massimo Ferragamo\nIn 2003, Massimo Ferragamo restored the estate to its former glory. In 2004, a new winery with a capacity of 3000 hectolitres was built.\n\n### Today\nCastiglion del Bosco wines are recognised worldwide for their consistently high quality.
