Label / history
Cielo e Terra was founded in 1908. Its name combines terra, the Italian word for “earth,” with Cielo, the founding family’s surname. The company began expanding and improving production under Pietro Cielo in 1930, and established new vineyards in 1962. It is now led by fourth-generation brothers Luca and Pierpaolo Cielo and owns approximately 300 ha of land.
The winery belongs to Gruppo Cantine Colli Berici, whose vineyards cover approximately 4,000 ha. With the group’s winemakers, Cielo e Terra participates in a project to improve agriculture and production throughout the Berici Hills, from vineyard to bottle.
