Label / history
Classified as Vino da Tavola (VdT). Cielo e Terra was founded in 1908. Its name combines terra, Italian for "earth", with Cielo, the surname of the founding family. In 1930 Pietro Cielo began expanding and improving production, and new vineyards were established in 1962, which raised output. The winery is now run by the fourth-generation brothers Luca and Pierpaolo Cielo. It farms around 300 ha in the Veneto.
Cielo e Terra belongs to Gruppo Cantine Colli Berici, a winemaking group with around 4,000 ha of vineyards, where most of the company's wines are made. With the group's winemakers, it takes part in a project to improve winegrowing and production across the Berici Hills, from vineyard to bottle.
