Label / history
The range takes its name from the “Castles of Romeo and Juliet” near Montorso Vicentino. In 1530, writer Luigi da Porto lived in a villa near two castles belonging to the Montecchi and Capuleti families. Their ruins, visible from his window on a nearby hill, are said by historians to have inspired his novella La Giulietta, which later inspired Shakespeare’s work.
