Label / history
The range takes its name from the “Castles of Romeo and Juliet” near Montorso Vicentino. Luigi da Porto found refuge there in 1530, living in a villa overlooking the ruins of two medieval castles associated with the Montecchi and Capuleti families. These ruins are said to have inspired his novella La Giulietta, which later inspired Shakespeare’s play.
