Label / history
The range takes its name from I Castelli Romeo e Giulietta, the ruins of medieval castles near Montorso Vicentino associated with the Montecchi and Capuletti families. Luigi da Porto moved to a villa there in 1530 and, according to historians, drew inspiration from the ruins visible from his window when writing La Giulietta, the novella that later inspired Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
