Label / history
Cielo e Terra was founded in 1908. Its name joins terra, Italian for "earth", with Cielo, the surname of the founding family. Under Pietro Cielo the company began expanding and improving its production in 1930, and new vineyards planted in 1962 allowed output to grow. The winery is now run by the fourth-generation brothers Luca and Pierpaolo Cielo. It owns around 300 ha of land and is one of the largest producers in the Veneto. It belongs to Gruppo Cantine Colli Berici (The Colli Berici Group of Cellars), one of Italy's largest winemaking groups, which has around 4 000 ha of vineyards where most of the company's wines are made.
