Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown primarily in clay soils in estate vineyards on sunny, south-facing hills in the province of Treviso.
Vinification
Harvest usually takes place between 10 and 20 September, using traditional, gentle techniques. The grapes are softly pressed, and the must undergoes static settling before fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks at around 18 °C.
The wine is produced by the Charmat-Martinotti method. For secondary fermentation, the base wine ferments with sugar and selected yeasts for one month in stainless-steel pressure tanks. This process preserves the grapes’ natural aromas and develops the fruity and floral character.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees before being filtered and bottled.
Tasting profile
Fresh and youthful, with a complex fruity and floral aroma and a creamy palate.
Label / history
“Perky” means lively, spirited, bold and cheerful in English, reflecting the wine’s fresh, youthful style.
