Label / history
The Conti Serristori name derives from an ancient Florentine family of noble origin. The family’s wine production began in the fifteenth century, when Antonio Serristori, a senator of the Republic of Florence, married the heiress of Niccolò Machiavelli and received a farm with vineyards and olive groves in Sant’Andrea in Percussina as her dowry. Four generations of the Serristori family experimented in the estate’s vineyards and cellars in developing this wine.
