Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the estate’s vineyards on the hills of northern Barese in Murgia, Puglia. The soils consist of limestone and clay, and the vines are planted at a density of 4,500 vines/ha. Competition between the vines helps produce high-quality grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in early September and gently pressed at the winery. Fermentation takes place with selected yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve the character of the variety and terroir.
Tasting profile
Refreshing and well balanced, with fruity and floral qualities. The limestone-and-clay terroir contributes minerality and structure, as well as power and depth of flavour, with freshness balanced by concentration.
