Vineyard and terroir
Orpicchio is grown in Vigna Casa at Bolgheri. The vineyard is trained to spurred cordon and yields approximately 1,000 g per vine. Harvest takes place by hand at the beginning of September.
Grapes
100% Orpicchio, an indigenous Tuscan white variety planted to create a distinctive white wine in a territory associated primarily with reds.
Vinification
The hand-picked grapes are gently destemmed and softly pressed. After clarification, the must ferments partly in new wood and partly in stainless steel.
Ageing
Six months, divided equally between new French-oak carati and stainless-steel tanks.
Technical data
Alcohol: 13%.
Tasting profile
Straw yellow with golden highlights. The nose is rich in fruit and spice, with a light touch of sweet vanilla. The palate is broad and enveloping, with mineral freshness supporting drinkability and a long finish.

Serve at 12–13°C. Suitable as an aperitif and with fish, shellfish or white meats.
Label / history
