Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the home territory of Gewürztraminer, where loose, limestone-rich soils also contain deep veins of sand and porphyritic rock. Warm, sunny sites are refreshed by cool mountain air in the evening. Mediterranean warmth and winds from the surrounding Dolomites help create tension while retaining the variety’s characteristic elegance.

Grapes

100% Gewürztraminer.

Vinification

The grapes receive six hours of skin contact before careful pressing. The must is statically clarified and fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled 18°C.

Ageing

Several months on the lees in stainless-steel tanks.

Technical data

Vintage 2025. Alcohol: 14.00% vol. Total acidity: 4.8 g/L. Residual sugar: 3.9 g/L. Available in 0.75 L and 0.375 L bottles. The grapes are entirely hand-picked.

Tasting profile

Intense straw yellow with golden reflections. The highly aromatic bouquet evokes rose petals, flowers and spices. The palate combines fresh fullness, finesse and harmonious elegance with a long finish. A published Wine Spectator note for the 2023 vintage characterizes it as dry and zesty, with lingering spice and mineral detail.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 12–14°C. Suitable as a full-flavoured aperitif and with savoury or spicy first courses, shellfish, grilled fish and flavoured cheese. Ageing potential is 4–6 years.

Vintage notes

The 2025 harvest began on 27 August and finished just over a month later. Relatively early flowering preceded a warm, dry June. A distinctly cooler July preserved natural freshness and acidity, while August brought favourable ripening conditions. September alternated between sunshine and occasional rain toward the end of harvest; the grapes arrived healthy and in balanced condition.
